The Nsulu Solar Hybrid Mini-Grid Project is being developed by Solar Force Nigeria Ltd in partnership with the Rural Electrification Agency (REA) under the Distributed Access through Renewable Energy Scale-Up (DARES) programme.
The project aims to provide reliable, affordable, and sustainable electricity to the Nsulu community through a solar hybrid isolated mini grid.
The project will serve approximately 1,071 residential, commercial, institutional, and community customers, with an estimated electricity demand of 604 kWh per day. The power system will include a 300.3 kWp solar photovoltaic (PV) plant, a 250 kW inverter system, a 645 kWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), and a 150 kVA backup generator.
The distribution network will consist of low-voltage lines, utility poles, and smart prepaid meters.

Solar Force Nigeria Ltd is pleased to announce the successful completion of community Engagements and the signing of agreements for the Nsulu Solar Hybrid Isolated Mini-Grid Project.
The images capture various stakeholder engagement activities conducted over a three-month period with the Village Prime Minister, traditional chiefs, landowners, community representatives, and other stakeholders. These engagements focused on project awareness, community benefits, land lease arrangements, implementation plans, and stakeholder responsibilities.
Throughout the process, Solar Force ensured transparency, inclusive participation, and compliance with all relevant REA policies and regulatory requirements. The successful conclusion of these engagements has resulted in the execution of the necessary agreements required for project implementation.
Documentation, mini-grid registration, and other legal and regulatory processes are currently ongoing. Solar Force Nigeria Ltd looks forward to working closely with the Nsulu community to deliver reliable, affordable, and sustainable electricity access that will support local economic growth and improve quality of life.
