Project Information Micro grid was installed to provide power for this off-grid community of about 200 households in the remote area of Delta state. The system is scalable, it consists of Solar Force products. Smart meter was installed to give a pre-set peak power for each household.

This project took electricity and followed economic growth to a community that has never been connected to national grid in Nigeria.

A micro grid or isolated grid”, is a set of electricity generators and possibly energy storage systems interconnected to a distribution network that supplies electricity to a localized community that may not have access to grid for many years. Often, micro grid involves multiple energy sources like solar, wind, water or fuel as a way of incorporating renewable power. It operates independently from the main power grid.
